MEET THE INSTRUCTORS

Mr. Devin is a 4th Dan Black Belt certified under Kukkiwon. He is a certified Level Two coach under USA Taekwondo. He has been practicing for 17 years, and has been teaching over a decade. He was a 2010 International Team Member for AAU USA and a 2012 Korean Open International Medalist.

Ms. Yasmin is a 3rd Dan Black Belt certified under Kukkiwon. She is a certified Level One coach under USA Taekwondo. She has been practicing Taekwondo for 15 years, and teaching for a decade. Some of her accolades include: 2013 Collegiate Medalist, 2012 National Championship Medalist, Certified Forms Referee, 2009 National Forms Silver Medalist, and 2009 Weapons National Silver Medalist.

Spirit Taekwondo was created out of a strong passion, a shared vision and a ceaseless commitment to making learning easy and accessible. Since opening in 2015, we’ve had the opportunity to help countless students acquire foundational skills, develop new techniques and confidently move forward in their learning journey.

At Spirit Taekwondo, we believe in leveraging the art of Taekwondo to build us as individuals as well as martial artists. We live by the tenants of Taekwondo and reinforce that within our students: Courtesy, Humility, Integrity, Perseverance, Self Control, and Indomitable Spirit. Whether you are looking to build character, self esteem, strength and conditioning, improve your flexibility and coordination, or just want a fun atmosphere to get in shape we have a program that can fit your needs. We believe each individual takes their own journey at their own pace and cater to each student individually. At Spirit Taekwondo belts are earned and not given. It allows our students a sense of accomplishment at conquering difficult challenges. Modern movement practices are applied to our curriculum to help students with flexibility, strength, and injury prevention. A journey from white belt to black belt in our system takes 4-5 years on average.

Our Traditional and Sport Taekwondo program is based out of Henderson, NV. We are proud members of USA Taekwondo and World Taekeondo. We offer classes for children and adults, starting with students as young as 3 years old. Give us a try for a week FREE and start to build your inner black belt!
